I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rink Rats

Hello! Me and my fellow hockey teammates have joined the St. Baldrick's Foundation and formed a team called Rink Rats. For those of you not familiar with St. Baldrick's, it is a completely volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. On March 23rd at Gattos Restaurant in New Lenox, Illinois, Team Rink Rats will have our heads shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer; but more importantly, to raise money to find cures for childhood cancer. This year Rink Rats is honoring a special friend -- one of our own fellow teammates, Joe Beilke; who was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in December. Joe has a tough battle ahead of him, but will battle his disease as fiercely as he battles his fellow opponents on the ice. And if you know Joe, he will WIN! I'm asking you to please help support me and my fellow teammates with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation to find a cure for childhood cancer. Donations can be made online, by phone, or by mail. Your donation -- no matter the size -- will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support! Josh Maloney

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
