I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Those of you who know me, know I'm already pretty much bald, but it's not about the hair; it's about the cause. I've worked with children, along with their families, who have battled cancer for over 15 years.
About 3 years ago I met a family who had a son named Luke. I can still see his face. and hear his voice when I close my eyes. He had an infectious smile and loved life. OH, and he LOVED Christmas!! Luke lost his battle with cancer, but he left a legacy, that lives on today in those who knew him personally, as well as those who have heard about him and have seen his picture. Please help me celebrate his life by helping to fight cancer that ravages so many lives.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
