I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: East Providence Firefighters L850

After working two years on Hasbro 6 and volunteering one week every summer for five years at Camp Hope, I have met many amazing kids (and their families) throughout the years. St. Baldrick's is just another small way I can make a difference in the life of a child with cancer. So, when my good friend Kathy called me last week and told me about her nephew Cole, it just reinforced the reason why this cause is so close to my heart. Cole, age 7, Glioblastoma - grade 4 (brain tumor). Cole was recently diagnosed with cancer after an unexplained fever, fatigue and a headache. He has had three surgeries to remove three tumors the doctors found in his brain. His diagnosis has not kept him down. In fact, while in the hospital, he told every one of the nurses a joke. Cole loves making people laugh and being silly. He likes to watch WWE and his favorite wrestler is Mark Henry. Cole likes hockey and is a big Boston Bruins fan. He loves mac-and-cheese, playing with Legos, and the ocean. He is a really good surfer. He loves spending time playing with his sister and their two dogs. Cole is currently in treatment to reduce the tumors and his family is looking forward to having him home to enjoy the sound of his laughter. This year AJ and I will be honoring Cole at St. Baldrick's. Keep an eye out for TEAM COLE! Thank you for all your donations and just remember there is still time!
