I've answered the call to be a hero! For the 3rd year, I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. I have been fortunate to not personally know any children with cancer but adult cancer has hit very close to me. My Nana is a cancer survivor and I have lost a neighbor and a really good family friend to this ugly disease. This year, one of my teachers is battling breast cancer. In honor and respect to her, my parents and my school principal are allowing me to dye my hair pink the Friday before I get my head shaved.
