I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
the 3rd floor
Just as I entered my first year of high school, I had a biopsy performed on a neck tumor the size of a baby banana. It turned out to be Hodgkin's Lymphoma - a cancer of the lymph nodes. I soon received chemotherapy and copious medicines to help alleviate its side effects. My friends and family were unfathomably supportive and my last round of chemotherapy was in 2004.
The overwhelming majority of Hodgkin's Lymphoma victims survive it with proper treatment. That said, cancer treatment is a supremely expensive process, and I would either be dead or homeless without the incredible financial support I received from local communities.
That's why I signed up to be a shavee for Rowan's St. Baldrick's Day event. Every little bit helps; if everyone I knew donated just $10, my fundraising goal would probably be doubled. This money goes to child cancer patients (18 years and under, I believe). Help give them the chance to realize the lifetime of potential they truly deserve.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
