I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Jocelyn's Heroes

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Jocelyn's Heroes

The day before Thanksgiving of 2011, my 4-year old daughter, Jocelyn, was diagnosed with Precursor-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). In less than 3 months, I have witnessed my child go from a "normal", healthy preschooler to having her entire existence ripped out from beneath her. I've watched as she lay there helpless, drifting off to sleep to have yet another invasive procedure done and as the nurses inject toxic drugs into her little body. I have already had to make spontaneous, painful decisions that will affect her future. I have entered into a world that no parent ever has the desire to be a part of and have seen other parents and children going through similar circumstances; some better and some terribly worse.

I have answered the call to be a hero to support my little girl, Jocelyn, her new little friends and every child! I have decided to have my head shaved to stand in solidarity with these children who valiantly fight their battle with cancer and to raise money to find cures.

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support all of these children, including my little Jocelyn! Thank you!
