I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hey ya'll! Well... year #3 for me and St. Baldrick's. As a military wife with 3 kids I've learned to take nothing for granted, nothing but my family's health. My youngest son was diagnosed with a melanoma in August 2009. He's doing great now but talk about a scare. It really hit home that you never know what tomorrow might bring. I'm also shaving, again, in memory and honor of Bryson Parry. Bryson was a wonderful member of my church family. Bryson was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when he was 5. At the same time he was diagnosed my son, Adam, got sick as well. They were the same age. Thank God my Adam turned out to be fine. Bryson fought long and hard and was such an inspiration to everyone he meet. Unfortunatly he lost his battle with cancer on September 30, 2007. I pray that one day we will find a cure for all childhood cancers. I want everyone to know that there is no minimum or maximum to your giving. It's been hard for so many people this year and it's not the amount that you can give it's the thought behind the gift. Thanks for your support! I'm also shaving for my of one of my greatest supporters and best friends, my mom, Geral Green, who lost her fight with cancer last year! I am also honoring other children in my fight to end childhood cancer! You can find out more about them here on my page! I know, with organizations like this, and others, that one day we will find a cure for cancer! There aren't many people who haven't been touched by cancer, in some way, but when a child is sick it hits deep. They are so innocent and undeserving of such a terrible disease. We can beat this, if we stand united! I ask that you please do all you can to help. It doesn't matter how much you give, only that you DO! I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
