Shortly after graduating high school I lost a good friend to Luekemia beacause it was not detected early enough. That was 30 years ago. And, although cancer research has come a long way, there is much more to be done to allow children and young people to fulfill their potential. I'm a volunteering with the St. Baldrick's Foundation by supporting the fundraising event at Proctor's Theatre on March 24, 2012 . Please join me in showing support for kids with cancer!

If you're feeling brave, you can become a "shavee", to show solidarity with kids going through cancer. There are so many more ways to support this worthy cause. This fundraising event supports St. Baldrick's, a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
