Shortly after graduating high school I lost a good friend to Luekemia beacause it was not detected early enough. That was 30 years ago. And, although cancer research has come a long way, there is much more to be done to allow children and young people to fulfill their potential.
I'm a volunteering with the St. Baldrick's Foundation by supporting the fundraising event at Proctor's Theatre on March 24, 2012 . Please join me in showing support for kids with cancer!
If you're feeling brave, you can become a "shavee", to show solidarity with kids going through cancer. There are so many more ways to support this worthy cause.
Get Brave, Be Bald, Volunteer or Donate!
This fundraising event supports St. Baldrick's, a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. When I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support kids facing cancer, some of whom are living, playing and going to school in our community.
Thank you in advance for your support!
