I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Alston & Bird LLP

One person can make a difference if he or she inspires others. Such was the case 11 years ago when 3 friends decided that they would inspire 14 people plus themselves to raise money for children’s cancer research by shaving their heads. The shaved head symbolic of those children who lose their hair during treatment. Their goal was $ 17,000 on March 17th. They raised over $ 100,000 that first year and have grown into a foundation that provides more grant money for research that any other source other than the US Government. In fact, from 2005 to the end of 2011, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has distributed $ 78,804,186 in grants to researchers looking for cures. This will be my 8th year shaving for a cure to the many cancers children are susceptible to.

This year I am also shaving in honor of a dear freind who, on January 30, 2012 lost her reoccurring battle with breast cancer. She will be missed.

So when I ask for your support, it's because I'm tired of losing to cancer. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
