When Arden was born, like any first time Dad who was instantly wrapped around his daughter's little finger, I set out to do my best to give her everything she needed. For almost 3 years, I did a pretty good job. Unfortunately, in the end the one thing I couldn't give her was a guaranteed cure for the type of cancer with which she was diagnosed: Neuroblastoma. After a courageous 10 month battle, Arden was laid to rest a few months shy of her 4th birthday. To this day Amy and I have remained committed to help pediatric cancer researchers in their search for better, less toxic targeted treatments. We've been blessed to find an organization, The St. Baldrick's Foundation, whose mission matches ours, and whose commitment to integrity and transparency with respect to how every donor's generous dollars are administered, we admire. As many of you know , St. Baldrick's is the largest supporter of Childhood Cancer Research, funding the most promising ideas to advance us closer to 100% cure rates with therapies that grant survivors long, healthy lives via a highly respected peer review process.
This year I will be shaving my head to raise money to help support St. Baldrick's. I would greatly appreciate your consideration of sponsoring me (which really means helping kids with cancer.) Tax deductible donations can be made directly to St. Baldrick's via my Shavee home page and this link:

Looking for a little more excitement? A more personal touch? Then "head" (sorry, couldn't resist) out to the Philadelphia Police and Fire "Be Brave, Get Shaved" St. Baldrick's event on Saturday March 31st and watch me and other local heroes in the Philadelphia community get shaved. The event is always an amazing time, with food, drinks and fun for the entire family. Details can be found on my page, or via the following link:

Thanks for reading and for your previous support,
Rick
