I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

BEE FARINA
Instructional Support Technician Frank Melville Jr. Memorial Library Stony Brook University I am shaving my head in memory of my hero, my daughter, Meghan Farina.
On September 28, 2007, Meghan was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a highly aggressive tumor located in the pons of the brainstem. She died just nine months later, July 13, 2008, at the age of 13. St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. We need to fund research to find cures to childhood cancers that take away children, all too soon, from their families. Families like mine. Please support me with your donation. Together, let's make childhood cancer deaths a thing of the past. Thank you!! To read more about Meghan and her battle, visit www.caringbridge.org/visit/meghanfarina
