On March 18, 2011, my friends and I were out having some drinks. Since I was recently retired from the Air Force my friends were asking me why I was still cutting my hair "military style". From that came a bet that I would not cut my hair for one full year. After much debate a contract was written on a bar napkin. Each one of my friends would pay $100 a piece to St. Baldrick's if I didn't cut my hair for one year. If I cut my hair I would owe a bar tab of $120.
Fast forward almost 10 months. I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids.
