My four-year old little boy, Kyle, died of cancer, after a 5 1/2 month incredibly brave battle with leukemia. I soon learned that losing a child was, and still is, the most painful experience imaginable.
And, if the money raised by organizations like St. Baldrick's keeps going strong, much more needed research can be done, and hopefully answers will finally be found. And, prayerfully, someday there will be a cure for cancer.
No child, no parents, and no families should ever have to go through what cancer families face. It's time to destroy the cancer beast for once and for all. And, it's time to do what we can to make that all happen.
I am very proud to be part of the upcoming St. Baldrick's Day events. This will be a perfect opportunity to raise childhood cancer awareness, while at the same time raising money for such a wonderful cause.
Most of all, I'm especially proud of our youngest son, Mikey, who on his own decided to shave his head in memory of his big brother, Kyle. Then, it wasn't much later that my husband followed in Mikey's thoughtful footsteps, and decided to go under the clippers, too! As for myself, Collin and Matthew...we'll do our best by supporting this cause in any way needed, both before, and during St. Baldrick's Day, on April 27th.
In advance, our family thanks you for supporting us in any way you can.
NOTE: Please donate towards our son, Mikey R's, fund raising, instead of mine. Thank you for any support you can offer.
