I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

My name is Lynne, I am a blessed mother of 4 and grandmother of 3. My before picture is of me and my 'baby' Michael on his wedding day in August of 2004. In March of 2005 he was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor, a very rare sarcoma. Since then, he has gone through countless types of chemotherapy, surgery, tests of all kinds and continues to fight even to this day. In May he will turn 32 and I thank my lucky stars each and every single day that I have had this much time with him...and continue to pray for more. I am so proud of his courage, and am amazed at his strength every time I look at him. I am shaving my head not only to show my love and support of him, but to show my support of other mothers who may not have as many years with their babies as I have had (and continue to have) with mine.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
