Shortly before Easter last year our family friend and neighbor was medically evacuated from Granada, Spain where she was studying abroad for a semester. She had an advanced case of colon cancer at the age of 19. Shortly afterwards an old HS friend's son was diagnosed with an advanced case and rare form of leukemia. These are two kids in my village in a short period of time...In the past 5 years alone, I have known too many more. I decided to do this this year in honor of Hanna and Jake and hope that their journeys through this lead to a speedy recovery. My prayers are with you!
I've answered the call to help! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
