In October of 2010, Elizabeth You, a friend and inspiration to many people, lost her battle with cancer. She was to start her first semester at Boston College that fall and would have turned 19 years old in December. She would have been President of the United States one day. She was diagnosed with stage four Ewing's Sarcoma early in high school. It is to her, one of my closest friends for most of my life, that I am dedicating this effort to. But it is not just her. My effort goes to support not just those who have passed but those who have beaten or are still fighting like my friends Laura Johnson and Ray Saari.
I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
