I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: NetApp Global Team

I heard about these cancer kids. They lost all their hair and their eyebrows and eyelashes. And I thought I can help these kids with all this hair I’m growing and that’s already on my head. When I was in a wheelchair I thought I can help kids just like the way the hospital helped me. When I was in a wheelchair, I thought maybe people were looking at me and thinking about sick kids in hospitals. I don’t want kids to get looked at like they are sick. Please donate money so the doctors can help these kids.” Thank you! Charli From Charli’s Parents – Charli has been looking forward to cutting off her hair since she decided to grow it out after her surgery almost 20 months ago. She was so bothered by people asking her what happened and staring at her while she had both her legs in casts; one day she said to me, she couldn’t imagine if she was really sick and had people staring at her all the time – like those kids with no hair. When I explained to her why they didn’t have hair, she decided she wanted to give them her hair. Since then she’s been growing it out for Locks of Love. She wanted to attend the St Baldrick’s event and in doing so, raise money as well cut her hair. We are very proud of her.
