You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!
In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease.
Truth be told, I was originally planning on being a shavee this year, but then chickened out and planned to donate money instead. Shortly thereafter I was "friended" on Facebook by the sister of one of my best friends, Kathleen Fuller, who lost a courageous battle with cancer when only in her 20's. I then received a birthday greeting from Kathy's mom, "my good friend Lois," and that was it! I knew I had to shave my head in Kathy's memory.
Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. If you are a Riverside grad, please consider making a donation in Kathy's memory! I'll be sure to post before and after pictures!

Thank you for your support!
