I know some of you who know me might be thinking, you are going bald anyway whats the big deal shaving your head? Well, if it is going to happen I might as well make it do some good before it is all gone. A friend of mine had done this a few years ago and I thought this was a great way to help raise money for a great cause. St. Baldrick's is raising critical funds for childhood cancer research and shaving my head is a sign of solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment.
In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease.
I am doing this to, in honor of 2 people. First the grandmother, Anita Morgan, who suffered from cancer and passed away before I was born. And now, a good friend of mine has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently going through treatments. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
