Cancer has affected the lives of many people I know and love. I am sure that you too know someone, or are a survivor of some form of cancer. My career has focused on basic cancer research. As a member of the Tulane School of Medicine, and teaching first year medical students, I wanted to become involved in cancer fundraising with my students. As such I have joined the School of Medicine Class of 2014 St Baldrick's Team. We are didcated to raising as much money as possible to combat childhood cancers.
On February 18th, I will shave my head in support of St Baldricks effort to raise awareness and funds towards choldhood cancers.
You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! I hope you will join me and donate towards my fundraising goal of $1000. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure
