I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

On December 26, 2009 I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's follicular lymphoma, a treatable yet incurable cancer of the lymphatic system. As I pondered my first round of chemotherapy and the inevitable hair loss associated with it, I decided to turn this personal challenge into a public opportunity to help a great organization help pediatric cancer patients. The St. Baldrick's Foundation (www.stbaldricks.org) raises money through, among other things, an annual St. Baldrick's Day head shaving extravaganza. But as my considerable mane will be lost by then, St. Baldrick's, the Pickled Onion(www.pickledonion.com) and I have prepared a pre- St. Baldrick's Day head shaving event on January 21, 2010 at the Pickled Onion here in Bermuda. I would be most grateful for your donation and support for this outstanding organization doing incredible things for the most vulnerable population. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Rob Lane
