I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mayflower

Hi Everybody, As some of you know, in 2005, I participated in my first St. Baldrick's Day, as a shavee. It was an amazing experience and I have been moved recently to sign up again. So I am pleased to let you know that I will be having my head shaved to raise money for a cure for childhood cancer. I am proud to be joining a group of wonderful people from my church, Mayflower Congregational UCC Church, in Oklahoma City in this effort. In recent years, I have witnessed several friends and associates, face the uncertainty of dealing with cancer. I have admired their spirit and fortitude, as they bravely faced each day and the challenges before them. In particular, I am dedicating this endeavor to my dear cousin, Kim, who, over the past several months has been battling breast cancer. With her smiling face and joyful attitude, she continues to be an inspiration to me and our family, and we all love her dearly. So, I am asking for your generous support, by making a tax-deductible donation to this great cause. To do so, just go to www.StBaldricks.org, enter my name as a shavee (ID#381829 ) and enter your pledge amount. This year's event in OKC will be held at VZD's on Sunday, March 28th, starting at 2:00pm. On behalf of all the children who will benefit from you kindness, I sincerely offer my heartfelt gratitude. Thank you so very much. Peace to you and your family, Steven L. Matthews
