In support of children everywhere suffering from cancer, Ms. Jess Hoyt will be working to raise funds to find a cure, culminating with the public shaving of her head on April 10th at the Boulder Elk's Lodge. As you might imagine, this is quite a sacrifice. But it is a worthy cause that is very close to Jess's heart.
As a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Jess trains and socializes future guide dogs for the first 1.5 years of their lives. Her very first guide dog puppy, Dynamo, who is not even two years old, was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. Jess is witnessing first hand the sadness and frustration that goes along with this incurable disease.
"Dynamo is the closest thing I have to a child. I can't imagine what it must be like to go through this with a son or daughter," she said.
Please support our brave friend by contributing a little of your money, your time, or both! Jess will have her hair cut at the Elk's Lodge, and anyone is welcome to attend. The more friends who come to support her, the better! And if you can, please visit the following link to Jess's St. Baldrick's page and make a donation! It is very secure, and any amount you can give will be very much appreciated. HURRAY FOR JESS!
