I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Team TLVH
I am shaving my head in memory of my oldest granddaughter, Taylor Marie Adkins, who died in 2004, at the age of 10, from a malignant brain tumor. She was paralyzed on her right side by a stroke when she was 9; but learned to write with her left hand so she could pass 4th grade and enter 5th grade with her class mates. She faced this hideous disease with humor and courage.
For Taylor, I will shave my head again. Maybe this year will be the year they find a cure.
