My daughter Katie was diagnosed with leukemia ALL 5 months ago. It was the worst day of my family's life. The treatments Katie has gone through, along with countless children like her, have inspired me to do as much as I can to find stronger, better, longer lasting, and less painful cures for this insidious disease. To watch Katie or any of the other children as they go through their treatment is to truly know heroic individuals in the form of both the children themselves and the doctors and nurses who treat them day after day. From hopeless circumstances they all manage to give us hope. This simple act of shaving in solidarity allows us to play our part in funding the daily increase in knowledge, treatment, and finding the causes of cancer for children and adults. Happily, today, because of research and treatment, Katie is currently in remission, though she still has several tough months to go in her treaments. Please help us and donate what you can. The research is working.
