I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: A Union of FAA Unions

In honor of two who have just started their battle against this awful disease....Barry Krasner and Sarai (Rai Rai) van Hest. Two who will beat this thing! And also in memory of family and friends who have lost their battle. No, you didn't hear it wrong - I AM shaving my head to stand in solidarity with children and adults who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment. By doing so, I'm hoping to help raise critical funds for cancer research and call attention to the need for life saving research! In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support cancer research so that all those diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on the "Make A Donation" button or donate by mail or phone. Barry is a friend and someone I respect very much. His name is synonymous with the National Air Traffic Controllers Association. Just like he has continuously kicked butt in his battles against workplace injustice, he will do the same and bring home a win against cancer. Rai Rai is just about the sweetest 3 year old you've ever laid eyes on. Her mom is dear friends with my wife and we just found out about Rai Rai's diagnosis a few days ago. She's being treated by the best doctors in the world for her type of cancer, at the Children' Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). It was also caught early, so she stands an excellent chance of a full recovery. Our thoughts, hopes and prayers are with these two. Oh, and by the way, that's my before photo over there. For some odd reason my wife is concerned I won't look as good after the shave. Not sure what she's worried about. ;-) Thank you for your support and together let's help fight this terrible disease!
