I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello Friends & Family, I love March Madness! The madness in my house is a bit different than most. We have your normal Basketball March Madness where dad and I watch as many basketball games as humanly possible. We have Irish Dance March Madness where my sister and my mom are in and out of our house all month long at Irish dance performances. Then, there is my March Madness, every March I collect pledges so that I may shave my head bald for the St Baldrick's Event to show solidarity with cancer patients. Although St Baldrick's is a non profit organization committed to finding a cure for childhood cancer, both young and old benefit from successful research. This year I am shaving my head in honor of my hockey coach and friend, Coach Adam Schindler, who is ahead in the third period of his own playoff game. On and off the ice, Coach Schindler sets a shining example of teamwork. Coach has always been there for kids, helping to coach eleven teams in the last five years. It is my honor to take one for his team. So get out your green and support my head shaving! Respectfully, John Patrick Nicholas Rooney aka Nick Rooney 719-251-1568
