Well, it is that time of year again and I am hoping that you will help me raise money for children’s cancer research. As my kid’s keep reminding me, “it’s the least we can do for these special kids!”. Last year as I sat in the barber’s chair and had second (and third and fourth….) thoughts about going bald, Robbie looked at me and said “Dad, we HAVE to do this, it is important!’ That day was exactly 14 months after I had had successful cancer surgery and Robbie was right, I did have to do it. He and I will be doing this together again this year and I’m sure he will have to offer me words of encouragement this year too. Amie shaved her head and gave the hair to “Locks of Love” two years ago and is having a contest to see if she shaves her head this year...go to her page below for details. My kids continue to teach me what is important in life.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least three years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
