I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Cirque du SoBald

Everyone keeps asking me why I would want to shave my head for this event; I can't think of a reason why I wouldn't. It's only hair, after all. What's some hair in comparison to a child's life? After my son was born, my biggest fear was, "What if something happened to him?" Then my cousin's baby was diagnosed with leukemia. Battling cancer is unimaginable to me, but to have to hold my child and try to tell him that everything will be ok, even if I know it might not? I can't even begin to imagine how strong these parents are. If they can live that every day and stay positive and strong for their children, then I can go a few months without hair. I'm doing this in honor of every child and every parent having to fight this disease. Let's all do whatever we can to help them in their fight.
