I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Isaac

On March 12, 2010, I will be shaving my head!!! I'll be joining dozens of other women and men, shaving our heads in solidarity with the thousands of children diagnosed with cancer worldwide. Each year, around St. Patrick's Day, Oakland Children's Hospital puts on a fund raising event for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise money for children's cancer research and fellowships for oncology doctors in training. There needs to be more research specifically for cancer treatments and cures for children. This year's event will be held at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland. In December of 2006, my friends (Lisa and Gabe) son Isaac was diagnosed with cancer. He was just a little over a year old when he was treated and without the valuable research that helped him survive I would have never met him. Just 3 years later he's in remission. This little guy is very cute, very confident and a bundle of joyous energy! Although Isaac won the battle against cancer, he lost the vision in his right eye. Lisa and Gabe have been volunteering with St. Baldrick's and its fund raising efforts to give back to the community that turned Isaac into a childhood cancer survivor. Gabe shaved his head 3 years ago, Lisa shaved hers 2 years ago and now I am joining in on the fun! I will be shaving my head for Team Isaac this year and would truly appreciate your support. There are many ways that you can support. You can be there for me to provide moral support on the day of the event, shave with me on Team Isaac OR donate. This event will be held at 4:30pm, Friday, March 12, 2010, at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland, located at 744 52nd Street, Oakland, CA 94609 Thank you all so very much, Mory
