I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I am shaving my head in honor of Alexa Renee Moore. When people ask me why it is easy to answer. Have you met a child with cancer? Have you met a parent who lost their child to cancer? Have you looked at your own children and been so grateful they are healthy? That is why I am shaving my head. I have met the child, the parent, and looked at my own with more gratefulness than I can ever explain. When I found out how many children are affect in a year and sadly how many more lose the battle I knew I had to do something to make a difference. My parents taught me to be involved and to change the world you have to take action. Not only am I taking action but I am giving my children a lesson they will never forget and hopefully impact how they act as adults. I hope that my small action will lead to a cure so that so many children can enjoy a life that they so deserve; a life without trips to hospitals, countless scans and poison being injected into their small, delicate bodies. Shaving my head is easy. Explaining to my own children why other children are dieing, that is so difficult. Help me reach my goal. PLEASE!! Let's fight all childhood cancer together! To find out more about Alexa you can go to her website at www.caringbridge.org/visit/alexareneemoore. We will also be holding the entire event in memory of Kendall Jackson. Please visit Kendall's website at www.caringbridge.org/ny/kendall.
