I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Essex Shillelaghs

Since 2019, I have proudly been an annual donor to the St. Baldrick's Fundraising Event at the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh Club in West Orange, NJ. This year, I am once again participating as a shavee to show solidarity with childhood cancer victims, and I am asking you to donate to the cause on my behalf.

My wife, Samantha, was diagnosed a couple years ago triple-negative breast cancer while she was pregnant with our second child. The journey is challenging, we experienced firsthand how cancer and its treatment can disrupt a person, household, and entire family. Her diagnosis serves as a poignant reminder that cancer victims suffer greatly and that the disease does not discriminate. However, through scientific research, improved treatment regimens, medicines, and techniques, patient survival outcomes are on the rise while side effects are minimized. We've since welcomed our second child into the world and she continues to thrive at a year-and-a-half old!

Research is paramount to the advancement of oncology. Nearly everyone we've spoken to about Samantha's treatment is shocked that there are chemotherapy regimens that have minimal impact on an unborn child's development.  This is thanks to scientific analysis and the academics behind it, and we want to see those communities more supported. St. Baldrick's is the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, and I'm happy to continue supporting their efforts so they may provide grants to programs that affect the outcomes of those who truly don't deserve a cancer diagnosis.

Thank you for your support.

I also encourage you to come to the actual event which is in the afternoon of Jul 11, 2026. There's bands, beer and bbq. It's always a great time and a phenomenal crowd: The Shillelagh Club, 648 Prospect Ave, West Orange, NJ.
