Why am I joining the fight against childhood cancer — and why should you care?

Because the reality is devastating: 1 in 5 children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive. And for those who do, over 96% will face severe or life‑threatening health issues by age 50. Childhood cancer doesn’t end when treatment ends — it follows these kids for life.

For me, this mission is personal.

In 2016, I met someone who would become one of my closest friends — my brother in every way that matters. Jake Marshall is one of the best people I’ve ever known. But there was a time when I might never have had the chance to meet him at all.

As a young child, Jake was diagnosed with brain cancer. His survival wasn’t guaranteed. It took the generosity of people who cared and the extraordinary work of the doctors and researchers at St. Jude to give him a second chance. Because of them, Jake is here today — cancer‑free, thriving, and changing the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him.

That’s why I’m stepping up.

That’s why this fight matters.

And that’s why I’m asking you to care too.

Together, we can give more kids the lifetime they deserve.

And who knows — maybe one day you’ll be lucky enough to meet someone whose life was saved because of your support.

Thank you for standing with us.
