Hi everyone,
My name is Samuel Cohen, and this year I’ve decided to shave my head for St. Baldrick’s through my fraternity.
When I was in elementary school, I took part in St. Baldrick’s for the first time. I may not have fully understood the impact back then, but I remember knowing it was about doing something bigger than myself. It was about standing in solidarity with kids who were fighting battles they never asked for.
Now, years later, I want to do it again — not just because it’s a tradition, and not just because my fraternity is involved — but because it represents something important to me. It’s a reminder that we all have the ability to step outside of ourselves and contribute to something meaningful.
For me, shaving my head isn’t just about losing hair. It’s about choosing to show up for others. It’s about community, compassion, and using whatever platform I have to try to make a difference.
Being part of this through my fraternity makes it even more meaningful. It shows what we can accomplish when we come together for a cause that truly matters.
If you choose to support or share, I’m incredibly grateful. More than anything, I appreciate you taking the time to understand why this matters to me.
Thank you.
Samuel Cohen
