When I was in grade school, a classmate of mine was battling cancer. I watched her fight from a distance, not really knowing how to help. But I watched her fight hard — harder than most of us will ever have to — and accomplish things that most adults never could in a lifetime. Her strength, her resilience, and her courage left a lasting impression on me.
Around that time, my dad’s employer hosted a St. Baldrick’s head-shaving event, and it gave me the chance to do something — even if it felt small — to stand in support of kids like her.
Now, years later, life has come full circle.
I’m a father to three incredible daughters. And just over two years ago, I lost my own dad to cancer. I now know firsthand the weight this disease carries — the fear, the helplessness, and the lasting impact it leaves on families.
That’s why I’m participating again — this time alongside my team at Somerset County 911 Dispatch — to raise money for childhood cancer research.
The children facing this fight are some of the bravest people on this planet. They deserve every possible chance — every treatment breakthrough, every research advancement, every ounce of hope.
I’m asking you to join me.
Please consider making a donation — large or small — to support childhood cancer research. Your contribution directly funds the research that gives these kids their best shot at beating this disease.
Thank you for standing with me — no donation is too small, and what may feel small to you can make a life-changing difference for a child and their family. ☘️
