For as long as most people have known me, the hair has been part of the deal.
Behind the bar at Old Louisville Brewery. At fundraisers. At events. Out in the neighborhood. It has somehow become part of how people recognize me.
On March 14, it is all coming off.
I am shaving my head as part of a St. Baldrick’s fundraiser to raise money for childhood cancer research.
This one feels personal. I spend a lot of time asking people to give. To show up. To support causes that matter. This time, I wanted to put something of my own on the line.
Hair grows back. Childhood cancer is something families do not choose and cannot control. Research is what gives kids better treatments, better outcomes, and better chances at long lives.
If you have ever shared a beer with me, supported something I have worked on, laughed at one of my jokes, or simply believe in showing up for your community, I would be grateful for your support.
Help me turn a bold haircut into something that actually makes a difference.
Let’s do some good together.
