In 2014, someone asked me a simple question that changed me forever:
“Would you shave your head to help kids with cancer?”
That’s how I joined the Noroton Fire Department’s team in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation — and it became one of the most meaningful commitments of my life.
What started as a brave gesture turned into a mission. Every year since, I’ve shaved my head to raise funds for childhood cancer research, standing in solidarity with kids who don’t get a choice about losing their hair. Their courage fuels mine.
This isn’t just another fundraiser.
It’s a statement. A sacrifice. A promise to fight for children who are fighting for their lives.
And I’m asking you to stand with me.
Your donation doesn’t just help me reach a goal — it gives researchers the resources they need and gives families hope they desperately deserve.
Together, we can make an impact that truly matters.
Are you in?
Together, let's give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
2026 marks my 10th year participating in this incredibly meaningful event (with just a two year pause during Covid). Over the years, thanks to the generosity of people like you, we’ve accomplished so much together.
This year, I could reach an exciting milestone. If we can raise $1,249, it will bring my personal total over 10 years to $15,000 raised. And if your generosity takes us even further, we could reach the next milestone of $17,500, or even an amazing $20,000 raised over my decade of involvement.
Reaching any of these milestones would be an absolute honor — and a testament to the power of compassion, teamwork, and community.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference. Thank you for considering supporting this mission and helping us continue to create meaningful impact.
Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids' Cancer. This year, I'm joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won't survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each shaved head, trimmed hair, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
