I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Cortland Professional Firefighters Association

This is my third year participating, and every year it hits a little differently — especially because I am a dad. I have a 10-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son. When I look at them, I see everything childhood is supposed to be: laughter, scraped knees, messy hair, big dreams, and a whole lot of future ahead of them.

Then I think about the kids who don’t get that same carefree childhood because they’re fighting cancer.

I don’t personally know a child with cancer. But I don’t have to. If a child is in need, that’s reason enough.

Shaving my head is a small sacrifice compared to what these kids go through. Hair grows back (unless you are Stephen). For many families, time doesn’t. Childhood cancer research is underfunded, and St. Baldrick’s is changing that one shaved head at a time.

This year, my goal is $950. If you’ve ever supported me before, thank you. If you’ve ever thought about it, this is your sign. Every dollar helps fund research that gives kids a better chance at growing up, chasing dreams, and living full lives.

If you’re able to donate, I’d be grateful. If not, sharing this message means just as much.

Let’s show these kids they’re not fighting alone.
