20 Years, where did the hair go?!?!? This will be my 20th year of joining St. Baldrick's to support childhood cancer research and taking it all off in Raleigh.
I'm super grateful for all the support of everyone through the years and never expected to stay in the game this long. Sadly, cancer is still affecting us all, pretty much on a daily basis, so I'm going for number 20.
Due to your generosity, last year eclipsed the $100k mark since my first 'shave on a whim' back in '07. I can't thank you all enough whether this will be your first donation or your 20th, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm blessed to have such awesome friends and hopefully down the road cancer will be a thing of the past!
Come join the fun in downtown Raleigh on April 11th and help support childhood cancer research!
Here's some St. Baldrick's info, there's lots of good info in here:
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This year, I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
