**Why I’m Shaving My Head — And Why It Matters**

Twenty-five years ago, a simple challenge among friends grew into one of the largest volunteer-driven movements to **Conquer Kids’ Cancer**. This year, I’m stepping up like never before—joining thousands of others in shaving my head to raise critical funds for childhood cancer research through the **St. Baldrick’s Foundation**.

But for me, this isn’t just an event.
It’s personal.

**I’ve Been a Long-Term Supporter—Because I’ve Seen the Need Up Close**

Over the years, I’ve been a consistent donor to St. Baldrick’s because the mission hits close to home. Friends and colleagues of mine have had their lives turned upside down by childhood cancer. I’ve watched families face the unimaginable, and I’ve seen how vital hope, research, and community support truly are.

**Kids Deserve a Lifetime—And the Numbers Make That Clear**

* **1 in 5** kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive.
* Of those who do, **more than 96%** experience severe or life‑threatening health conditions by age 50.

These kids deserve better. They deserve a lifetime.

**My Heart for Kids Makes This Even More Important**

As someone who has spent years coaching youth sports and serving in children’s ministry, I’ve been privileged to encourage, support, and help kids grow into who they’re meant to be. Every kid I’ve coached or mentored reminds me why this cause matters.
**Childhood should be full of possibility, not chemotherapy.**

**How Your Support Helps**

Every shaved head, every dollar, every act of solidarity creates a ripple of progress. Your donation directly fuels the **largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants** in the country. It gives researchers the tools to create better treatments, and it gives families something priceless—**hope**.

**Join Me**

I’m shaving my head to stand with kids who can’t choose to lose theirs.
I’m shaving for the families fighting right now.
I’m shaving because together, we *can* give these kids the lifetime they deserve.

**Thank you for caring. And thank you for supporting this mission that means so much to me.**
