I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research

I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head?

This is my fifth year shaving my head for St. Baldrick’s. At this point, it’s kind of my thing.

I do it because kids with cancer don’t get a choice. They don’t get to decide if this is something they want to deal with. If I can shave my head and help raise money to make things better for them, that feels worth it.

Here’s the not-fun part:

In the U.S., 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer won’t survive. And for kids who do survive, most will deal with serious health problems later in life because of the treatments that saved them. That’s not okay, and that’s why research matters.

Every shaved head and every donation helps fund better treatments and gives kids a better chance at a normal life. St. Baldrick’s is the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research, and the money raised actually goes where it matters.

So yeah, I’m shaving my head again.

If you can donate or share, that would be awesome. If not, thanks for reading this anyway.
