I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tough as Naish

Hi! My name is Talon Rainwater, I am a 7th grade boy, and I am shaving my head in solidarity to my good friend Naish.

Naish Kaloupek, one of my best friends, is an extraordinary human being. While also just being a kind person with a great attitude, he is a very good student and athlete. Before his battle with cancer began, he was on track to start on the Moultrie Middle School basketball team, which is a very rare privilege. He is also one of the smartest people I have ever met, and is seriously mature and involved in keeping up with world events. He is a very well rounded and kind person, and I am so proud to be his friend. Honestly, out of anyone I know, he would be the one that stands the best chance against cancer. So even though this is a battle that no one should ever have to fight, he has been up to the challenge since day one.

The reason that I am shaving my head is that I know that he has had to sacrifice a lot to deal with this. I know that this doesn't make up for half of what he is going through, but I am making my sacrifice to show one thing to everybody: No one is what they left behind. For me, it is my hair, but for him, it is his school, sports, and normal life. If you know him, you know that he is still the same kind hearted and energetic person that he was before all of this happened, and he will not change that. He is tougher than I will ever be, and I owe him massive amounts of extra respect for his resilience.

Please consider pledging any amount in support of cancer research at my link.
