I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Joy

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

This year I am once again shaving my head to stand in solidarity with children fighting cancer and raising funds for critical research to find cures.  For me it is year 15, elevating me to the esteemed title of "Crusader for the Cure". It is fun to take on this new honorarium but more importantly, it is a fight that I am proud to have been involved with for so long. There are less than 800 Crusaders in the 25-year history of St Baldricks so I feel I am part of a very dedicated group. Over the years I have spoken about my lifetime of working with kids, as a teacher, coach, rec leader, and parent. I have shared the experience of having friends and students deal with cancer, often with a tragic ending.

This is a fight worth fighting. Please join me in my Crusade. Shave with me, donate with me, share this link, and get the word out that we can win this fight if we all contribute to the effort. Thanks for all you can do and love to all.
