Hi all and happy 2026. I hope this message finds everyone and your families well.
Please read below to appreciate the impact of your (past) donations.
I wanted to write something different this year – trying to link our donations – to specific cancer treatments – to the kids who are being treated & saved by that treatment that we helped create.
I found this article "Landmark Clinical Trial Results Offer New Hope for Kids with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on St. Baldrick's Blog"
Then I wanted to find a child who has ALL and is responding well to treatment.
Honestly, I didn’t spend much time looking, I just typed “Acute Lymphoblastic Leukenia” in the search bar on St. B’s website.
It returned 2180 matches!
I started scrolling, looking for a young child undergoing treatment. I scrolled page after page… In summary:
• Every page I saw showed so many stories of young people with ALL.
• Overall, many were listed as In-treatment, In-maintenance or Cancer Free.
• So many - Far Too Many - are listed as “Angels.”
I realized that this information alone is powerful. The Bottom Line – what you gave in the past and what you continue to give has a positive impact and saves lives!
NEIGHBORS – Please Read.
I plow driveways on my little quad, mainly so you guys contribute to St. Baldricks. I’ve already plowed six or seven times this year – about 20 driveways each storm. Much more than prior years.
Last weekend (on 1/25) I braved negative windchills, sleet, and significant snow - which led me to plow many driveways multiple times. In consideration of my extra efforts - and if you can - please boost this year’s donation accordingly.
Thanks everyone and please stay safe, healthy and warm!
Vinny
