I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Julia

Julia was an absolutely amazing daughter, sister, student, friend, athelete, musician and person.  No kid deserves to get cancer.  Julia was 16 when she was first dignosed with cancer:  Ewing Sarcoma in her left tibia.

We were all shocked beyond belief at the dignosis.  She went through the horrible treatments, but they were the best treatments available at the time.  She continued to maintain her honor role status, graduating from Oak Forest High School  with honors and as a member of the National Honor Society.

She went to Bradly University to become a teacher like her mom, dad and grandfather.  But during her sophomore year she was again diagnosed with cancer, this time Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)  This was a direct result of her treatments for Ewing.

She battled with all she had, doing everything her doctors said she should do.  She had 3 stem cell transplants but to no avail.  Before she died on November 14th of 2013, she asked us to do what we could to make sure no other kid went through what she went through.

That's why we do what we do through St. Baldrick's, the largest non-profit fundraiser of pediatric cancer research in the nation.  Will you help me raise money to fund our 10th pediatric cancer research trial this year?
