Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
I am shaving my head this year to show support to those who have been affected by this disease of cancer. Cancer has affected those close to me like my Nanna, Poppa, Aunt, along with others who are close to me. Watching these loved ones face this disease with their strength and courage is very inspiring to me and that is why I am taking action to try and raise awareness and help to find a cure!
I have been participating by raising money and shaving my head for the past 14 years as a symbol of respect and unity amongst the strong who are battling cancer or who have battled it in the past. This is an opportunity to help support and find a cure towards cancer.
No matter the amount, every donations help take a step in the right direction to bring us closer to a cure.
I appreciate everyone being a part of the journey to find the cure!
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids' Cancer. This year, I'm joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won't survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each shaved head, trimmed hair, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
Together, let's give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
