Last year, I made the decision to cut my hair short for the first time in 27 years to donate to Children with Hair Loss, an incredible organization that provides free wigs to children with medical hair loss. As an aspiring pediatric dermatologist, I’ve seen firsthand how hair loss affects a child’s self-esteem, how it can make them feel isolated at a time when they need support the most. That’s why hair donation is so incredibly important—it’s a small sacrifice that can bring immeasurable joy and confidence to a child going through the toughest battle of their life.
