Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
Globally over 300,000 a year and 15,000 children in the U.S. a year are diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday. Every 2 minutes a child around the world is diagnosed with cancer. 1/5 of these kids that get diagnosed have life threatening cancer, and that 96% of kids that recover from childhood cancer can regain cancer later in their life.
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This year, I’m joining thousands of others to not only shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research, but also raise awareness for childhood cancer
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
