It is sad to know that childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So we want to to do all we can to raise money for cures. Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
Michael is now entering his 7th year in his journey to "Help sick kids". That is how, a then 4 year old, was convinced to shave his head. While mom was the one that encouraged this journey, he has been the one that continues it. He continues the fight, and continues to raise money for pediatric cancer research. What makes this journey even more special is that he gets to do it with his grandpa. As he has gotten older, he understands more and more what it means for him to participate in this event. He knows that there are kids out there, without hair, who are sick. He knows that if he has his head shaved, money will be raised to help those kids. Over the past several years, our family and friends helped him raise over $2000 dollars and we couldn't be more grateful. Thankfully, he hasn't met anyone who has endured this horrific disease, but that doesn't matter, he still wants to help all those children he doesn't know.
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This year, I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer. Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
