I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: JJ's Angels

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: JJ's Angels

This Sunday March 30th, I will once again be shaving my head to raise money to fund research for childhood cancers. In July of 2010, my lifelong friend Mike LaMonica and his family suffered an immense tragedy when their beautiful daughter Juliana Jean (JJ) passed away from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Each year, Mike’s family and friends gather together at Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub in Syracuse. At the yearly St. Baldrick’s Foundation event, we shave our heads, and raise money and awareness regarding the lack of funding for childhood cancer research. We come together as friends to support Mike and his family, and to remember JJ. This coming July 2025, she would be turning eighteen and would have just graduated from High School. I am grateful to be a member of the JJ’s Angels team from the beginning, and astonished that over these past fifteen years our team has raised over $457,334 for this worthy cause. Please consider making a donation to honor JJ and to support the team.
